$8 Million Phone?!

We've already established that if you're filthy rich, you probably don't want the same cell phone as common folk.

No, if you're looking for something higher end, you'll probably end up talking to Stuart Hughes, who customizes electronics by plating them in gold and diamonds.

We've already seen his work on a $20,000 iPhone 4, but his latest achievement is downright ridiculous.

Called the "world's most expensive phone" (we'll see how long that lasts), Hughes made two identical models for an Australian client. Each handset includes over 500 diamonds and totals over 100 karats, and comes in its own special granite box.

Its total cost is £5 million -- nearly 8 million dollars. Just don't bother crying when you leave it on the seat of a cab.

New From Burger King : Pillow Case

Burger King has become known for their out-there "Wake Up With the King" commercials, and their latest is no different. It may just be their weirdest yet.

The advertisement is presented as an infomercial and promotes their new breakfast menu with a pillowcase. Yes, that's right, a pillowcase.

A Billy Mays-type host opens up the commercial introducing the pillowcase that is available to order. The host touts that you can go to bed dreaming about the new menu.
A young man, who is about to go to bed, is then shown glancing at the pillowcase, which is plastered with the different options from the Burger King breakfast menu, as if trying to choose what he'll want the next morning.

The man then falls asleep dreaming of the different entrees, even pretending to eat a breakfast sandwich on the pillowcase as he is sleeping. In what some are describing as the creepiest part, the man then wakes up face to face with "the King." The other side of the pillowcase features the King's smiling face.

For a short time you could actually purchase the pillowcase at BKpillow.com , but the listing is now closed. You can watch the commercial here .

It has been reported on Thursday that 4,450 people had purchased the pillow case for $5.99 plus $2.83 for shipping and handling.

On Thursday, police in Hillsboro, Oregon got a call that there might be a break-in at the Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals . . . a museum that has several valuable gems, fossils and meteorites inside.

When they searched the premises, there was no one inside . . . but one of the police dogs was OBSESSED with a little grassy patch about a half a mile from the museum.

And when the dog BIT the grass and it YELLED, the non-K9 police realized what was going on.

36-year-old Gregory Liascos of Portland, Oregon was the guy who'd tried to break in . . . and he was wearing a full-on MOSS MAN suit as his disguise.

The suit is forest green and shaggy, the kind that military snipers use to blend in with the vegetation.

Gregory was arrested for burglary and criminal mischief.

Egg Recall! Check your eggs!!

A massive egg recall has consumers scrambling to check their pantries for eggs that might be contaminated with salmonella.

The recall involves 228 million eggs produced in Galt, Iowa by Wright County Egg, and distributed to wholesalers and food service companies nationwide.

The recall affects eggs sold under the following brands: Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph's, Boomsma's, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms, and Kemps.

If you have suspect eggs, check the dates and codes stamped on the end of the carton.

The plant numbers affected are P-1026, P-1413, and P-1946. The dates (recorded in the "Julian format") range from 136 to 225, according to a statement by the Egg Safety Center. For example, eggs in a carton marked with the number P-1026 137 should not be eaten.

Consumers who have suspicious eggs can get a refund if they return them in their original carton to the store where they were bought.

"This recall is of shell eggs only. Other egg products produced by Wright County Eggs are not affected," the company said in a statement.

Minnesota health officials say seven salmonella cases in two restaurant outbreaks have been linked to Wright County Egg in May and July.

Transformers 3 gets NASCAR'ed!

This is a snapshot from the set of Transformers 3 in which we see two NASCAR racecars all transformed and pretty cool looking!

There's a little bit of fanboy outcry over this. Seems that people are worried that these cars will have corny southern accents and be stereotypes along the lines of the two "black" robots in Transformers 2.

I guess we'll have to wait and see!

A 16-year-old girl from Springboro, Ohio . . . whose name hasn't been released . . . had been dating a 14-year-old boy named Matt Abrams. Matt was 4-foot-11, making him much shorter than the girl, who's 5-foot-5.

Well, after a week of dating, they decided to spend some time together in a hotel. But, three days into their stay, the 16-year-old girl ran off.

Because she discovered that 14-year-old Matt was actually a 31-YEAR-OLD WOMAN named Patricia.
